Supplies:
- ● 4 empty Bonne Maman 1 oz. jars with lids
- ● 4 thin candles (0.5” diameter)
- ● Jute twine
- ● A wooden loop (10” diameter)
- ● Dried flowers and fresh or preserved eucalyptus leaves
- ● Gold glitter glue and gold flakes
- ● A hammer, a nail and a cutter / utility knife
- ● A pair of scissors and a small paint brush
- ● Hot glue gun and/or strong glue (type Mod Podge or E6000)
Directions:
Custom jars
Brush the glitter glue on the Bonne Maman jars and wait 1 minute until the glue becomes transparent.
Then place the gold flakes before applying another layer of glitter glue. Let it dry.
Make a hole in the lid
Use a hammer and nail to make a hole in the center of each lid.
With the cutter knife, make a star-shaped cut at the center of each lid at the same location where the hole is.
Then, fold the star inward to create a larger hole and hammer the sharp edges down.
Create candle holders
Glue candles to the bottom of each jar with a dot of hot glue.
Attach candle holders
Apply the strong glue to the bottom of each jar, then position them onto the wooden loop in desired location. Ensure to apply the glue both on the wooden loop and the glass jar.
Let dry for a few hours.
Decorate with greenery
Decorate the wooden loop with eucalyptus stems and dried flowers.
Apply small dots of hot glue to the ends of the stems to stick them together.
Attach the hanger
Cut two pieces of jute twine, each measuring 5.5 ft long.
Fold them in half and tie in a knot to make a loop.
Tie the 4 ends in between each candle holder to the wooden loop. Ensure there is approximately 18 inches between the hanger loop and the Christmas wreath.
